Next International Seaweed Symposium 26th ISS are taking place in April 23-28 in Qingdao, China in 2028. The host is the Institute of Oceanology, Chinese Academy of Sciences.
The following 27th ISS in 2031 will be hosted in Cascais, Portugal by the national organizers PROALGA, BLUEBIO ALLIANCE, and GREENCOLAB.
The Proceedings of the of 25th International Seaweed Symposium, May 4-9, Victoria, Canada, will be published in our partner journal, the Journal of Applied Phycoloy, as a Special Issue. As a participant and presenter at ISS2025, you are invited to submit your research for peer review and potential inclusion in this Special Issue. Deadline for submission is Aug 31, 2025, and all the information can be found here
